[News] Pledge to Net Zero – 2024 Carbon Emissions Report
In line with our commitment to climate action, Catalyst made the Pledge to Net Zero in 2023 and committed to the following;
- Set and commit to delivering greenhouse gas reductions in line with Science Based Targets’ 1.5°C climate change scenario.
- Publicly report greenhouse gas emissions and progress against this target each year.
- Publish one piece of research/thought leadership each year on practical steps to delivering an economy in line with climate science and in support of net zero carbon.
In 2024, our total reported emissions amounted to 390.67 tCO2e, spanning direct emissions from fuel combustion (Scope 1), electricity usage (Scope 2), and indirect emissions from supply chains, commuting, and business travel (Scope 3). With a 42% reduction target by 2030, we are taking decisive steps to cut emissions through operational efficiencies, responsible procurement, and low-carbon business practices.
To enhance data accuracy, we have integrated Obi, a carbon tracking system that strengthens our ability to monitor progress and refine our sustainability strategies. As Catalyst continues to grow, we remain committed to minimising our environmental impact while delivering on our mission of a greener, safer built environment.
For more information, see our report below, which details specific information on our greenhouse gas emissions and outlines our planned strategies to drive reductions in emissions going forward.
