Ciara Durkin brings a rich background in architecture and whole-life carbon analysis, drawing on her experience across diverse building types and RIBA design stages in both the UK and Ireland. Her work focuses on the lifecycle management of whole-life carbon, championing sustainable construction through collaborative engagement with stakeholders from design through to technical delivery. She works closely with IT and R&D teams to enhance project outcomes and embed innovation.

Ciara holds architectural degrees from University College Dublin, and master’s degrees from the Mackintosh School of Architecture and the Berlin School of Economics and Law, specialising in Business Management, Green Energy, and Climate Finance.

Actively shaping the industry, Ciara has played a key role in the development of the Net Zero Carbon Building Standard, contributed to the London Energy Transformation Initiative (LETI), and supported the UK Green Building Council (UKGBC) on embodied carbon guidance.

She believes in the power of simplicity, transparency, and inclusive stakeholder engagement to drive meaningful change in the built environment.
